When my bride and I re-launched her blog, AmyJoeJimBob, last Fall, we realized that A LOT had changed since she stopped blogging in August of 2009!
Scouring the internet for the latest, greatest information on what’s working now I kept coming across advice from one blogger more than any other: Becca Ludlum of MyCrazyGoodLife.com. I mean, the woman was EVERYWHERE! I saw her tweets, her pins, her statuses. And every bit of advice was golden.
So I was ecstatic to learn that she had collected her wisdom into book for bloggers: Everything But the Posts: Tips, Advice & Templates from a Blogger Who Has Been in Your Shoes. As the title suggests, she doesn’t tell you how to write, only how to do everything else!
As a connector, I was most interested in the section on building your blog community. I’ve been blogging for a while, and been online for decades now, but there’s always more to learn about how to connect with people.
Becca’s tips for building your community online include the expected: participating in link-ups for your niche, leaving and replying to comments, and writing for SEO (when it makes sense). But she surprised me with her tips on using Facebook groups and Pinterest shared boards to boost your readership. Our blogs have already benefited from her advice there.
This one resource I’ll be going back to over and over! Well done, Becca.

I love this book! I bought it as soon as it came out and it has been a life saver. Great review!
